Default new tail lights wiring 05 softail

any one know what wires do what on a 05 softail? I'm going to use 2 led side mount (where the turn signals are) they are 3 wire red-turn/brake black-ground and white-running, any help would be appreciated

You're going to have a white light facing to the rear??? Am I reading this correctly?

No sir they are full red led replacements aftermarket

Well according to my '04 manual-
Turn Signals:
Violet/Brown
Black

Tail light:
Black=ground
Red/Yellow=brake
Orange/White=main power
Blue=running

I'm pretty sure this is correct. The only thing that could be different is the Blue and Red/Yellow. Maybe someone will know more and chime in.

What is the difference between main power and running

I just re-checked my ****.
Blue is running.
Red/yellow is brake.
Orange/white is main power. This supplies the whole system back there.
Sorry for the confusion.
If you look at the wiring diagram of the bike, you'll find that the Orange/White wire is the one that supplies the power to individual lighting systems.
