Well according to my '04 manual-
Turn Signals:
Violet/Brown
Black
Tail light:
Black=ground
Red/Yellow=brake
Orange/White=main power
Blue=running
I'm pretty sure this is correct. The only thing that could be different is the Blue and Red/Yellow. Maybe someone will know more and chime in.

I just re-checked my ****.
Blue is running.
Red/yellow is brake.
Orange/white is main power. This supplies the whole system back there.
Sorry for the confusion.
If you look at the wiring diagram of the bike, you'll find that the Orange/White wire is the one that supplies the power to individual lighting systems.
