Secondary foot pegs
Some of you have been waiting for this a few months. Sorry about the wait. Due to family matters, I had to fall off the face of the earth for a time.
That bolt is a 3/8-16, #45 Torx, 1.5" thread length. Find your favorite foot peg mounts and pegs. Make sure the mounts are the proper size (some mounts say 3/8-16 but that's for the peg bolt). I used a 3/8-16 automotive exhaust stud but you can use any 3/8-16 bolt, as long as it's grade 5 or better. The studs I used are grade 8. After running the stud into the peg mount, I trimmed the stud to 1.5" and dressed the tip so it wouldn't cross thread. When I threaded the mount in it required an additional half turn after hand tightening. I had to use a mallet, and gently tap the mount to avoid damaging the threads on the stud or the frame... just little amounts of tightening at a time. I used HD Softail pegs and they required a little file work to operate properly with the aftermarket mounts.
