Well this is weird.
So I take the bike to the in-laws house about 70 mi. away to do lunch.Come back home, and stop to fuel up before heading home.Press the starter button, and NOTHING.No click,no nothing.Tried the ign. switch a couple times, press the starter, still nothing.Push the bike to the side of the station, and drink a bottle of water deciding what to do.6-8 min. later, walk over to the bike and she fires right up!Rode it home-about 2 mi.-,shut her down, try it again.....fires right up.Tried 3 more times-no problems.Next day I ride in to lunch with the wife-10 mi.-,run to the bike shop, head back home.I stop at the USPS,2 mi. from the house, inside about 5-6 min,go back out,and the same thing......NO FIRE!Bump started it down a small incline, and rode it home.Same drill as before, when I get home, tried it a few times and it lit each time.Haven't really troubleshot it yet,cuz I don't even know where to start.
Any ideas?

First thought is a Wire issue, think about the timing of the events.
Was it always after a long or short ride? Was it hot or cold outside? Was the humidity higher or lower? This is just for future reference really.
Now go through all the connectors from the battery to the starter. If all of those are good, it could be brushes or a bad ground to the starter...

Yeah,I need to at least look at the battery cables, etc.I actually tried it in neutral, and in gear with clutch in...no change. You're probably right.....something simple,I haven't looked for yet.
