Default Moved up from 2006 to 2016 Heritage

Just brought home a new 2016 Heritage...29 miles after pulling into the driveway.

I debated quite a bit about this. I really want a new Classic Springer but that probably will never happen so that could be a project down the road with a 2007. I racked up a lot of miles on my 2006 and was looking at new tires, cam tensioners, about every maintenance item you can think of such as brakes and rotor ...not big deals but debated about using that money towards something newer.

It took me awhile to warm up to the new saddle bags and this is the first set of whitewalls I have had but they have grown on me too.

I think what really sold me was the ABS, cruise (lots of 10+ hour rides), the larger engine, and 6 speed for my trips. After the normal go around, I did get a pretty good deal. After a test ride, there was an overall noticeable difference from power, handling, and braking.

It is stock as it sits but I was given a $1300 gift card to add extras and was able to strip my 2006 so I have lots of fun in the upcoming weeks! It is odd riding a bike with stock mufflers...it is so quiet!

The old:

Default Awesome

I just bought a 2016 Heritage. I absolutely love this bike. the cruise control and ABS are must have features. I am so glad the moco put those on as standard this year.

Congrats.

Those red concho's don't look bad on your black bike. They look pretty awful on some of the colors. Congrats on the new ride

Good looking bike! I'd like to move into a newer year, but that's not doable right now..

Just a suggestion. If you didn't get them with the bike, I suggest you look into a set of bag stiffeners while the bags have their shape and are soft. You'll appreciate the upgrade in the future..
