Softail Slim front brake Master Cylinder banjo bolt size??
Hi folks!
I have a simple question....
What thread size is the bolt which holds the banjo fitting at the top of the front brake line, to the master cylinder, on a 2012 Softail Slim?
I've decided to replace the wretched stock brake light switch with a hydraulic bolt/switch.
Cheers

Well,
despite the banjo bolt arriving, I haven't used it. Not only because cutting & reconnecting the wires in the cramped space of the switch housing would be a night mare, but also because the switch wasn't damaged and was working (ie, switching on & off) so why replace it??
So, the solution I have reached is this - comprising two ideas picked up on this forum.
1. Use a trimmed-down plastic nut to hold the switch firmly in place. I believe a lot of problems with this switch stem from it being pushed back in the housing (not shimming the lever) and a lot of good switches are replaced when they don't need to be.
2. Superglue a small piece of plastic to the back of the lever where it bears on the switch. I used a cut-out piece from a an old distilled water bottle.
With these two things done, my original (and undamaged) front brake light switch works a treat!!!
Hope this helps someone.
Cheers!
