I love my bobcat. As far as the slip ons , 4 " d & d slip ons are available, as are 3.5" with vortex baffles. Sound purrrrty good.

+1 on the Rush slip ons. I like the 1.75s but it is an easy swap to replace the interchangeable baffles. The issue is the true duals. You may need to go back to the stock headers or some replacement shot gun setup. I find the V&H tone too bright, although the Monster touring series slip ons sound and look great on baggers.

You could try Big City Thunder monster baffles. I have had them in a few sets of pipes. They are deeper and louder.

^^^ Agree with the above poster!

As a matter of fact, I like the sound of my V&H Straightshots slip-ons on my Fatboy with the 103 better than the sound of my Dyna's Rush slip-ons with 2" baffles with the 110.

I would recommend you change back to the stock headers (weight savings notwithstanding), to allow you to install the V&H setup I have. See my sig. My bike sounds deep and loud! I will have to consider the quiet baffle, b/c it is loud.

I agree with some posters, at times, and depending on the set up, some V&H pipes sound a bit tinny, but not on my set up. It might be the smaller diameter of the 2 1/2" pipes, with the stock merger (2 into 1 into 2), with a decent length pipe. Bear in mind, sound is very subjective to all of us! Trust me, this combo sounds choice!

My only complaint was how difficult it was to install the V&H SS. Make sure you have small needle nose pliers and a small magnetic wrench and a lot of patience to mount the new slip-ons on the stock exhaust plate (6 flat head screws/washers/nut).

GL & cheers,

BB

Anyone ever tried or heard in person the exhausts from Dirty Bird Concepts? They sound good in the videos.

The make them for both softails and baggers. Of course, the engines on those Dirty Birds custom bikes have obviously had work, which makes them sound a lot better. Still, they seem to be nice pipes.

V&H big radius 2-2 or short shots 2-2, baffles removed and Big City Thunder baffles installed. it's quite authoritative, deep and loud! I've had people jump back from the sidewalk riding by. cars part for me about 3-4 car-lengths ahead. it's like that Jim Cary movie.. lol

My vote is Rush 4" big louis with 3 " baffles. I have the same true duals as you. I already had them on with my stock pipes. When I went to the true duals, I read here the 3 " baffles wont tune. I ordered 2.5 baffles but I tried the 3" just to see. Well my tuned just fine, no popping. I had to redo the duals to make sure air tight. Mighty deep and loud they are. I have a 2016 road king, stage 1 with VH tuner.

I did the same and this brings the sound a little lower. I had a direct compare with a Rocker with 2-2 BR and mine sounded just a little deeper and bassier.

2-2 with Big city quiet baffles is the way to go

The Bassani Pro Street pipes are also loud and deep. One of the best out of the box for a hot rod sound IMO
