Relocating license plate to below the light on 16 Heritage
I was wanting to know who has relocated their license plate to below the tail light on a Heritage Special. I have a 2016 and really don't like the big ugly license plate frame that's on there now. I don't want to change out the light bar or anything that drastic.
I found an HD part #60095-00 on Ebay Softail license plate relocation kit, but not sure if this will work with my bike or not.
Any comments and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

I am sending Soft brake a request. That link of the one you sent me shows to only fit a 2000 to 2006 Heritage Classic. I have a 2016.

The sofbrake kit comes with a new brake light housing. The stock one has a clear lens on top for lighting the tag above it. Being that you will be moving the tag below it the new housing does not have the clear lens on top. You will have to do something different to light the tag below. Some dont worry about it. I light the tag below using led light bolts that secure the tag to the mount.

If you're good with your hands just take a piece of sheetmetal and form one up. Home Depot or Lowes has it in small squares. Cut it so you have a place to mount your plate but leave a tail long enough to go up.....then bend it over....and hang it from the bottom of the cutout in the fender for the tail light. Reinstall tail light. Go to a parts store and get a 4 inch flat white led strip and stick it to the bottom of your light bar. Splice or use a squeeze connector and connect to your running light wire in the tail light assembly. Shouldnt take more than an hour.
