Default When will I learn.....leave well enough alone

It looks like I have to go buy some new slip-ons. Yesterday I decided I wanted to put the original baffles back in my V&H twin slash mufflers....no big deal, I've done it before. Well one baffle got stuck when it was about half way out and wouldn't move either way (in or out). I had to do something so I hammered the he77 out of it and it actually ripped in two and half of it is stuck about half way in the muffler. Looks like I'll try the straight shots for a change.

Ride with your pipes that way for 1000 miles. Then you'll learn to leave well enough alone. Never mind... no you won't.

Well, I just stayed with the twin slash. I was thinking about the Straight Shots but my local shop only had the T/S in stock.....I'm ok with that. Now, remind me to LEAVE THEM ALONE!.....my wallet can't take much more of it.
Side note........Those stock HD muffler clamps SUCK to work with.

I've swapped baffles on my Rush slipons a couple of times. Trying to pull them out cold was hit or miss. For me, after letting the bike run for 5-10 minutes, I could slide the baffles in and out with ease.

The exact same thing happened to me!

I've tried a few other slip-on options and can tell you there are loads of much cheaper, equally good-sounding alternatives to V&H out there
