Well I have 6000 miles on my Deluxe and the rear tire is pretty much bald down the middle. I ride two up about 1/3 of the time. I think I read on here that most people get about 10,000 miles out of a rear tire. Is that true?

How much money is a new rear tire going to cost me installed?

 

I get 11-12k out of my rears on my Road King.

A new WWW tire is between 99 and 180 bucks depending on where you get it. A new tube is 8-15 bucks. If you carry the wheel in, you may get off as cheap as 20 bucks to have it mounted. If you take the whole bike in,I'd figure on 50 bucks.

 

hmmm... I have 5600 miles and so far looking ok....
I've been keeping an eye on it. I've heard 7000 - 10000.

I got about 10,000
Two up about 5% of the time

 

I got 10K on my first rear tire,
and 13K on my 2nd rear tire,
just put on a fresh set of "Metzler's" last September at 23K, I'm good to go.

 

9-10K miles on a 150 rear. 2 up 10% of time

14,358 miles when My Mechanic said, " you are gonna need a new rear tire before next season....

The harder you ride it, the faster it wears out lol

 

I seem to be the winner here. I got 15k out of my first set.

 

i always change my rear tire at 10k miles. i have had a rear blow out at speed don't want to do that again.
