Hi guys I'm from Sydney Australia. I'm building a custom rocker C. I'm having trouble getting a part I need to do the softail deuce fuel tank console conversion on it. I have everything but the back clamp speedo bracket whose is part number 68894-04a would anyone be able to assist in helping me find one or be able to tell me if I can use another part. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys

 

What brand speedo will you be using?? It might come with it.... I used a Dakota Digital when I installed the Deuce console on my Rocker C, and it came with it's own new back clamp.

 

I wanted to actually put a new original Harley 5inch guage in it there the one which has multiple illuminations. I didn't know that the Dakota comes with it...if I can't get what I need I may need to get that guage then. I was just worrried I wouldn't get a bracket to hold up the guage in place. Where did you get your Dakota from with the bracket?

Also if you have the model number that would be great thanks

Thanks for that buddy. I've noticed it's a 4.5 inch. I thought I could get any 5 inch guage as I've seen others put up on other forums...?

 

I don't know how/where the different manufactures measure their speedometers, but yes the Dakota 4.5" is a direct plug and play for the Deuce console. I know HD has what they call a 5", and that also fits.... BUT, if you measure the hole in the console, (or visible part of the speedo) it's only 3.75" and the total outside width of the console at the speedo is only 5", so I know the HD speedo has to actually be smaller then 5" to fit inside the console.....So, neither number makes a lot of sense .....
