Finally got the upper and lower rocker boxes back from powder. Attachment 499930

Still waiting on parts to come in and I'm still pondering on converting over to chain drive. I think I'm gonna stop by zippers in the way home from work tomorrow and pick up there kit.

But since I've had some down time, I finally got my weld machine set up and made a weld table.

Also going over the whole removal of the neck gusset thing in my head. If I do I'm gonna get something machined to replace it, so my mind is rested on it being safe. Just with this new tank opening up the top of the motor so much the stock gusset is hideous lol.

Nice progress on the bike and sharp welding table .

Made some more progress tonight. Waiting in the rivet tool to come in so I can shorten the chain, set tension, check for clearance and lock it all down. More than likely I'm gonna have to trim the splash guard just cause the chains a lot thicker than the old belt. New rotors also to match-ish the sprocket.

Now if anyone is paying attention, before you say it could be unsafe, that it's there for a reason and all the **** just calm down. I'm not necessarily done here but I have been going back and forth about putting a gusset of some sort back or rockin it the way it is. I've done a lot of research and see a lot of old school bikes with long *** front ends, takes way the **** out and guess what no gusset. Like I said it's not the "finished product but you get the idea. Hacked off the gusset, boxed in the motor mount and cleaned up the neck area. I think it's an hell of an improvement just in looks alone. Anyways, here ya go!

So I decide to to take my chances and leave it off for now. Motor mount boxed in, cleaned up, painted, open belt drive together and motor mount/ignition switch back in place. I orders everything to switch over to hydraulic clutch and it all should be in by the end of the week depending on this snow storm and what it does if anything. Just need my front end back and tank to finish it up and make all the necessary adjustments.
