2016 Fatboy - Need help with deciding on what Apes to put on the bike
I got my fatboy last OCT, want to put some apes on it for comfort, but having a hard time deciding what the frick to put on. Im 6'0", and currently have the stock bars on them. I have sat on a few other bikes (not fatboys) with some 14's and 16's and thinking 16's are what i need. I have looked at curved vs. chisel and really cant decide.
Any suggestions are recommendations would be appreciated. I am wanting to do this myself as i don't really want to give the local HD shop $2,000 to put bars on.
Thanks
Big Mike

When I went to apes many years ago, I did the same research and eventually ended up with Wild One Chubby apes and Carlini Flying apes. Both have been on my bikes for many years and holding up well. Wild One and Carlini are good companies and have high quality apes. The Carlini apes are a bit pricey but stylish. The Wild Ones are bold, aggressive and also high quality. Don't focus exclusively on the height, the width is as important for comfort. Ron

Ended up going with KST 14" Double Trouble. I liked the normal curve at the bottom and the chiseled look at the top. Couldn't find that anywhere else. Started yesterday on installation and ran into a snag half way through. Apparently a riser adapter is necessary in order to install these bars on the bike, so after getting that ordered the bike sits tore apart.
