Default bike security

New from Missouri, ride a 2011 Heritage, plan on some overnight rides and wondering about some dependable locks/chain people are using. I realize if they want it bad enough they can get it.

It may sound stupid, but I take a picture of my bike parked when I am staying at a hotel. I take the picture so you can see exactly what vehicles are nearby and what spot it is parked in etc.

Looking at that Abus 8008. Can I take it for granite that it will fit a 2017 Fatboy.

+1 Many 2 week trips never had an issue using the stock security. We also cover our bikes over nite with a non-branded cover, keeps people from coming over and poking around our bikes.

Not sure if it will fit or not. The one that I use didn't have a number on it so I looked it up in my catalog and it is the ABUS Provogue 300. In my catalog, it doesn't say anything about what lock fits what bike, I just know that the 300 lock will fit my Springer.
