Hello fellow HD Nuts! Been riding 13 years, bout 81K miles give or take. 76k on 2000 1200C Sportie. Purchased a 2014 Breakout a year ago, never previously owned. Saw a post on Breakout group page of FB about finding chewed up plastic inside primary on his and another member posted it was oil spinner on his that he'd replaced at 1000m. SERIOUSLY???? That got me searching for other horror stories online and voila... here I am. Anyone else had problems with their Breakouts??

Visit the "Everything Breakout Thread". They have TONS of info on Breakouts in there. The Breakout is a pretty solid machine. Not really any "common" issues with them. Welcome to the forums!

 

Look long enough and you can find horror stories about any year / make / model of bike / car / truck ect. Buy what you want and hope you don't get a lemon. I purchased a 13 Breakout as soon as my dealer could get one after they were released and haven't had a single issue. It shares plenty of parts (including engine) with all the other 103B big twins, so I don't see how one particular bike could have those engine issues. Best of luck with yours.
