1995 FatBoy.. a good buy?
THinking of buying a 1995 FatBoy..
Its done 27,000 miles and is in pretty good condition... apart from bottom fork legs which are a bit worn and marked up... can be polished out though..
What do you think...
I will be getting rid of a 2007 StreetBob... Don't really like it too much.. its too new, and too bland...
I'll pop a pic of it here..
please tell me what you think about buying a 1995 bike...
Cheers...
tried to post a pic here... wouldnt work...

So you're gonna get rid of a new bike and lose money becuase it's "bland". Doesn't make much sense to me, but hey it's your money. If it's to bland, customize it... make it your own. The only reason it would stay new and bland is if you left it in the garage.
As for a '95 Fatboy... depends on the price, but that would only be if I didn't have a newer bike already.
Personally I think you're nuts, but what the F&^k do I know.

Can understand the "I think you are nuts" bit!!
but its hard to explain..
the streetbob is a good bike.. but its too new? no vibration... fuel injection.. very hard to look after at home.. where as the older evo's are simple.. easy to fix at the roadside (mostly!).. and seem to me to be a more intense Harley type ride alltogether..had a couple of evo's in the past and prefer them to the way a twin cam feels...and sounds...
Not meaning to upset anyone.. but i think i made a mistake in buying a new bike... it does not suit me.. so i am willing to take the hit...less than £600 and buy the older bike...and the older fat boys seem to be holding their price very well over here in the uk anyway...
not had a fatboy before though, and need to know what they are like to ride..keep...some long distance stuff, and lots of shorter 100 mile runs for sheer fun...
i dunno.. maybe i am a fu*%£$$ing idiot eh?
