Default Narrow Turn Signal Mounts

Has anyone out there used these ?

Narrow Mounting Kit for Rear Turn Signals

Tuck the rear turn signals close to the fender struts. These sleek chrome-plated turn signal mounts move the Original Equipment bullet turn signals 1" closer to the rear fender for a custom narrow profile.

69820-06

Fits '02-later FXD, FXDC, FXDL, FXDX, FXDB, FXD35 models, '02-'05 FXDWG models, '02-later FLSTF, FLSTS, FLSTSC models, and '02-'05 FXST, FXSTS, and FXSTB models. Will not fit with saddlebags.

MSRP US $34.95

If so, did it make a difference in the look ? I think I like the idea of bringing the T/S in closer and I like the look of the stock bullets and the placement on the strut.

Too change the rear T/S do you remove the fender strut?

Thanks for any ideas or info.

You shouldn't have to remove the fender strut but you'll probably need to remove the wires from the pin plugs as the plug will generally not fit in the hole to the turn signal.

I installed 06 widegilde ones on my 05 night train before this kit came out. Looked 1000 times bettter and a fairly straight forward install. I took the strut off to do the install.

Check to see if they work with detachable hardware if you use it or think you will use it in the future.

I'm in the process (just got all the parts in the mail) of relocating my rear signals from the large chrome light bar to the smaller ones used on the Heritage Deluxe and some Road King models. Moving the license plate to below the taillight as well. I'll post pics when complete.

OK. After doing the relocation of the signals on my Sportster, and now facing doing it again for my Springer, I'm curious how one goes about removing the wires from the pin plugs. I tried to do this on the Sportster with no real success, so I ultimately had to just cut the wires, then twist them back together and shrunk sheaths around them.

If I could avoid cutting the wires on the Springer that would be great.

It s a bi*#h to get the pins out of those plugs I got the relocation kit for the detachable backrest. holes were even to small for wires in the covering I ended up breaking one side installing them and had to make another one on the lathe out of billet stock!
