Default Softail standard frontend lowering.

I posted this before and got no response. Maybe I'll get lucky this time. I have the rear of my 05 Softail Standard lowered 2 inches. I want to lower the front of my bike also but I would like to hear some opinions on how the bike will ride and handle afterwards. Any opinions would be helpful. Thanks in advance. Michael

My friend lowered his night train all the way around and after riding it I really couldn't tell much difference other than it was a little stiffer(but not by any means unacceptable)

You can get stock Heritage fork tubes & springs. That will drop it 3" and you'll still have the stock ride

can you tell us how the progressive install went?
I've got some sitting in a box, the dealer told me to just install the top springs for 1 ", and I wouldn't need to mess around w/fork oil ect.....

I used the Progressive springs on my NT. Worked good till I rode a friends standard that had the Race Tech emulator valves. Night and day difference Pricey at 150.00 but you get what you pay for with these. The damping they give does wonders for the ride not to mention the handling in the mountains. Probably gonna go 2' under on the tubes this winter. Good looking bike Xocjm

The guys at the shop installed them for me. There were 2 differant size springs to either set the front end 1" or 2"s lower. The legs were totaly dismantled to do the job though...
