I've a set off an '05 Springer Classic...it has the straight tapered tips. Does the '07 have the O2 sensor holes...the '05 doesn't.

I have a new set of take-offs from my 2007 FXSTB Night Train. Tapered OEM Mufflers. They should be the same as the Springer Classic. They have 15-miles on them. From dealer to home. The head pipes do have the O2 sensor mounts.

I was going to ebay or Craigslist them. Email me with an offer...mveronese@earthlink.net

Unless it has a crossover dual exhaust system installed the mufflers will not fit.

In any case, I just took a set off my 07 Springer (though I probably want to keep them just in case there are issues with my CycleShacks in the next few months). However, the mufflers themselves do not have O2 sensors in them, and my understanding is that the Springer crossover dual mounting has been essentially unchanged since 97, so the '05 mufflers "should" fit.

Do you need pics of the mufflers? They had less than 100 miles on them when taken off the bike. I'll PM with a price for you. Thanks

Are we positive the '05 FLSTSC mufflers will fit ?The reason I ask, is because in the parts book the '07 mufflershave a -07 part number. Which signifies the part was putinto production for the 2007 model year. The '07 FLSTC has the 96in motor with the six speed transIf you are positive your mufflers from the '05 will work, I'd beinterested in buying them from you

I've been looking to buy the entire ex. system from a Springer Classic for a while now. For whatever reason, the ones I see on ebay get bid up over 400 bucks. Is there that much demand for these things? I could probably buy all the parts new for that.

That's because a lot of people like the dual exhuast look on the back end plus the Springer Classic or earlier Heritage Springer is the only softail that runs the dual exhaust. All the other softails have the right side combo exhaust. A better way to go if you want true dual exhaust is check out Samson or V&H for their dual system.
One thing to keep in mind if you do find an original dual exhaust for your bike. 70% of the exhaust will still come out the right side muffler, while only 30% goes out the left. After awhile this will cause the right side pipes and muffler to discolor faster because of more heat. And the stock/standard mufflers for the factory dual exhaust is also chambered/baffled to compensate for the difference in exhaust amounts.
