I'm switching to wild 1 16" apes on my 07 standard. Why is it that some people tell you +6 on the cables, and others say go with 12" over on all the cables? I've got both answers. I just assumed that +6 meant 6" longer than stock. What am I missing?

 

Your right 6, 12 over is 6", or 12" over stock length. I use a string to get an accutate measurement then match it up to whats avaliable. Remember to always go long when ordering cables. To short a cable does ya no good.

 

Who knows. In the end, you gotta measure your own stuff or accept the risk of getting it wrong.

BTW, 6" over stock is too short.
