Default 180 w/ stock fender?

I thought I had posted this already but couldn't find it!! [:@]

I have heard that some have squeezed a 180 into a stock softail fender. Has anyone on here successfully done this? If so, what are the steps involved? If this is old news, sorry. It will be very useful to me and very appreciated.

That would be negative on that.
150/160 as wide as you can go on a 7 1/4" fender.

Anything beyond that becomes more cutting and work.

Well damn it!! So what's the best while still being reasonable fat tire kit? Suggestions? I would like to stick with a belt drive, though. I have gotten spoiled at the minimal maintenance of the belt rather than chains.

Dunno what model of Softail you're talking, but i got a 200mm in under the stock fender on my 2007 Deuce - stock rubber was 160mm. I had to do a few minor mods under the fender, changing over bolts etc to ensure nothing would rub on the new tyre, and i also changed over the belt to the thinner one (1/8th of an inch thnnnier if i remember correctly.. that meant a new rear pulley too, but i was fitting new rims (18x5.5) too.
