Yup what he said . . . jst did the 10k myself.

 

My dealer wants 319 for the 1k service, that's changing over to synthetic and 285 for the 5k. Those prices include taxes. I'm doing my own service when I get to the 5k point.

 

I did the 1K and when I went for the 5K the dealer told me to come back at like 10K and there was no need for a 5K when using synth oil. But I also had a dyno tune with new Amsoil put in.

Dealer could have taken my money.

 

I'm with the majority of posters. $75 for a service manual and $50-$80 for fluids depending on what you use and get in there and get to know your ride, it will serve you and the bike well. If you really want to go ape $hit fancy pick up a bike jack.

 

Better to do it yourself, save money for other stuff.
