Hey guys first time posting here. The sight is great. I'm looking for some spotlights that are a little dif than OEM. I know headwinds make a nice set. Just wondering if anyone has found others. I used the Kuryakyn (large) HALOGEN Silver Bullets. Running 75 watt 10degree spots, attached to forks under triple tree.

Which model (large or small) do you have on your bike an how well do they work at night?
Its getting close to the dumb deer mating season around here and the stupid things are starting to get restless running across the roads at night. I would like to see about getting more/better lighting in front to avoid hitting one if its at all possible.

I believe they came with 35 watt bulbs...switched to 75 watt spot..

ps..if you look closely at my pic... you'll see deer alerts attached....central Tx. has it's share of deer....

 

Thanks for the info and links. They don't get too hot with those big wattage bulbs in them?
I would think they could easily get too hot because on theKury's web site it says the heat can crack red lenses if you use them as running lights.

 

I'm running them with the clear lenses, as running lights...for about a year with no problems.. during the day they run with a modulator.. night they are on steady...

I am looking for more light andhave been seriously thinking of going with thenew double headlight assemblies off the new 08 Fatbob.
06Deuce has it on his bike and having a secondheadlight out front will definatly getmore light out there.
Your solution to the lighting problem is at least gives me another and less expensive option.
Even if it doesn't have the same"Custom" look a newheadlight setup would.

 

My bike isn't the cleanest setup but it is certainly bright with each pai of light on a seperate switch. The headlight is HID (put in an Adjure housing), H4 bulbs in a stock HD passing lamp set up. (You could put smaller aftermarket lamp(more proportional with teh headlight)and Trailblazers put on the forks. http://www.batteryspace.com/index.as...;Category=1043
