Default Deluxe owners with V&H dual/fishtails..

Wife wants fishtail exhaust on her 05 Deluxe. I am wondering if any of you that have the V&H true duals with the fishtail slipons might have pics (specifically where the header meets the muffler). Loking for a nice continous flow of the heat shields.

BB,
I am also inclined to go with the duals, but somewhere on the forums here others have mentioned that it entails a loss of hp.

I know the wife doesn't care about loosing 1 or 2 hp. But I believe that with true duals you actually loose torque not hp.

I run the V&H true duals on my Deluxe which is built up to 95", HTCC heads and pistons, Andrews cams, DTT ignition, Mikuni 45 carb, 3.37 gearing. It's at 10.5 :1 CR and I haven't noticed any loss at all switching to these pipes. I previously ran thunderheaders on my 88". If there is any loss at all, I can't tell. Plan to have it dynoed soon, but for the look and the sound I can give up a couple of ponies. These pipes are awesome.

Yes, I agree and that is why I want them, too. I have always thought that duals are the way the exhausts 'should be.'

I think they look cool also. Who else makes a dual exhaust for the Deluxe?

To owners who have this combination, do the fishtails scrape in the twisties? I love this classic look on a Deluxe but am concerned about these pipesdragging onthe Deluxe when ridden aggressively in the curves. Thanks for your replies.
