Default brake pad chatter on springer

Since changing the front pads, I notice that possible the pads are making noise with the whole front end at certain engine RPMs. Reason I think it is the pads is when I just barely squeeze the brake lever, a single contact noise with the rotor is heard and all chatter stops. I did reuse the clip that hold the pad on the outside (piston side).

They make a kind of sealent for car disk brake pads. Supposed to cut down on the noise from the pad vibrating in the caliper.
You might get some and try it out. In Advanced Auto stores its usually up on a display holder with anti-sieze on the counter by theregester. It comes in little tiny packages about the size of a sugar package from someplace like Burger King or Micky Dee's. Its just enough for a pad or two, at about abuck each, on a car so a couple should do a bike with ease.

That blue adhesive stuff
That's the stuff, I couldn't remember if it was blue or red.
But if your "problem" is nothing more thanthe pads vibrating in the caliper it should take care of it.

Citoriplus, that seemed to work. No more annoying squeal. Thank you. Bad thing now is I noticed the worker from Tawain didn't know how to fully seat a dust boot on my new caliper. Thanks J&P Cycles for a quality part!!!! Will be fixing that this weekend.

Glad to hear it worked, I love simple solutions to annoying problems.
But alas one problem solved and another raises its ugly head.
At least this one is just a straight up fix.

Good Luck and ride safe.

Today I took my 2003 Heritage Springer out for a local ride. I have been experiencing some front end chatter when hitting some small bumps on the road. I decided to just put a little pressure over these same bumps and RR tracks. The chatter is gone. I did do a pad change on my bike a while back and I did used the HD pads. I think the chatter is coming from the pads in the caliber. What exactly do I need to do here with this anti-seize to get rid of the chatter?
