Default Stretched Forks

Mate and I have Deuces and are interested in stretching forks a couple of inches. Stealer reckons it will help with stability and look great. Anyone out there done it and what do you thing.?

I don't think it will help stability........I'm not an engineer, but I suppose it would alter the trail and actually hurt stability. Maybe not if you don't change the rake angle, but I'd ask someone more knowledgeable than me.

I'm running 6 inch over tubes on my 87 and it is definitely more stable going down the Highway. The longer wheel base does make a difference as long you're frame has been raked to compensate for the longer front end, of course it all depends on how much longer of forks you plan on putting on. Mine tracks down the road like its on a rail yet with only 6 inch over tubes the slow speed handling is affected very little.

How much over are you going? I might have access to some 24" (+2") forks and lowers from Pro 1 from a buddy of mine. I'm trying to get the trees from him for my bike.
