I'm looking at buying some PM wheels and can't decide between polished or chromed. Chromed looks a bit better but I've heard people having problems with pitting etc. A friend spent a weekend at the beach and now has pitted wheels. Plating soft aluminum isless durablethan plating steel I suppose. The polished would be a bitch to keep clean, but imperfections could be polished out.
Any thoughts? Experiences? Discuss...............

Don't want to hijack Mojo's thread,If it's a choice between polished and chrome go with the chrome.Trob666,those are the perfect wheels for your bike.They look great.

I agree...mine wouldn't look good on his bike. I would pick chrome for his bike also.

 

I agree the chrome would look better, but I'm wondering about durability. I only live120 miles or so from the coast and we take rides to the beach frequently. After seeing mybuddy's chrome wheels I'm wondering if polished would be more suitable.

 

if you live that close to the coast.....I would go polished......
