Question broken dipstick
I think the dipstick broke off the cap and may be in the oil tank. Will it do any damage if I leave it in?

If it's the whole thing, probably not. But why not try to get it out?

Drain the oil, turn it over and shake it until it falls out.

Get some mechanical fingers, put them inside the oil tank and fish them out. I have had this happen on one of my Softails several years ago and had no problem getting it out.
