I live in Texas. Where do you place your inspection sticker?

In Texas it has to be visible from the rear of the motorbike. Is it enforced? Not really. I put a bracket on rear fender strut to hold my inspection plate, facing rear. After inspected I move it to passanger footpeg. Sometimes they will inspect on pass footpeg sometimes not. The dealer will not do it, at least in Houston.

 

I have mine on a plate that was screwed to the tool bag on the back of my shorty sissy bar. Took the plate off and put it inside the bag. I'll just tell 'em it broke and I'll replace it when I get home.

Think they'll buy it?

 

Thanks for the input. I like the idea of a temporary place and move it or hide it later. It just distracts from a beautiful machine.

Well now I'm curious sinceI'm thinking about moving to Texas. What's required to pass inspection? Will I be alright with a set of pipes on my bike, or will I need to swap the factory system on to pass and then switch back? Any other things I should be concerned about? Ground clearance if I lower the bike? Smoked signal lenses?

No worries in Texas on what you mentioned. They just state that the insp sticker should be visible from the rear, I have smoked lenses and see lowered loud bikes all the time, so no problems there. What poco says works real well for alot of people I know. As far as the fugly plate showing, I really don't know too many people who give a $hit, they just like to ride.
