Default Saddlebag suggestions for '06 FXSTI

Need some bags but not sure which way to go. Don't really like the look of any bags on my bike but for practical purposes on trips, I need to get some. Are there any decent throw over bags any of you can recommend?

Thanks all...

I know this has been asked many times on this forum and I have seen many of the pics.
Even when I see a pic of bags that looks nice then the task of trying to find out what bags from where and the item number is hard.
I bought the brackets for throw over bags already.
Now for the bags.
Good luck, if you find something even if you need a turn signal relocation post a pic, I would be interested.

I bought theHD leather bags& Bareback detachable mounts for my 06 FXST. I can take them off any time with no problems and the chrome caps cover the mounts on the struts. They fit fine with the stock turn signals. I will try to get some pics.

Thanks Ratzila. Looking forward to seeing those pics. If you wouldn't mind, could you PM or post the part number for those brackets and bags?

Thanks,

Vinny

TOUR MASTER CRUISER II SADDLEBAGS - MotoDepot

J&P Cycles - Motorcycle saddlebags

Large Slant Saddlebags on Bikes - Fox Creek Leather

Saddlebags - Standard Size Saddlebags - SB700 - Deluxe Standard Slant Saddlebag - SB700

Check some of these out. I looked for about an hour trying to decide and would really like to be able to see them on my bike.

Hope it helps some...

Mine aren't throwover, but they're easily detachable and the hardware is hardly noticeable when they're removed.

Good Luck in your search!!

any throw over is good and they all have about the same room style etc. I bought mine in mexico also have a bag for the back rest (nelson rig) more than enough room for one person for a week or so ..

I started with throw-overs on my Dyna before I decided what I wanted to do with it. Best bag I found for the $ was at www.leatherneckjim.com

Also have a set of American Eagle Softailhard/leather bags up for sale on this site at less than 50% off new. www.eagleleatherworks.comGreat bags to use with QD brackets like Easy and Ghost Brackets.
