Default Accesory Tap

Hi,

I have an 07 FXST and am looking for an accessory tap to hook a gps unit to. Preferably using some type of cigarette lighter type of connection! Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Kayak

I rigged it. The part on the bike is a heated gear harness. You could also use a battery tender harness with a 2 way flat plug. The lighter socket is just a corded extension from Radio Shack. It came with a socket on one end and a lighter plug on the other. I just cut the lighter plug off and put a coax plug that mates to the battery tender harness on.

Where do I attach it to on the bike? Is there an accessory plug on the bike?

You just hook it up to your battery posts. It is a simple unit. There are two ring connectors on the ends of the wire, one for the + and one for the -. There is an inline fuse for the + side. Then, there is a plug on the end.

Thank you sir. I'm looking for a clean tap to the switched side of the battery. I've been lazy and haven't looked yet.
Have too much I'd like to hook up [&:]
