Default Hard bags on springer classic

Looking for some more storage for long trips, my buddy has a set of vintage police bags and I was wonder if anyone has put a set on the springer or other softails. I would like to keep them detachable cause they are only gonna be used for long road trips, the stock bags are fine for short trips or running around town.

I thought about it for my springer but none seem to fit the vintage look, the ones in the post above are close, but still they dont look right to me for a FLSTSC

You will need somthing like the bager tail kit from cycle visions www.cyclevisions.comto mount touring model bags on a softail.

I put factory hard bags on my Heritage Classic. Very similar to what cyclevisions offers.
Worked and looked fine. Only issue was if you wanted to strip it down it took a little time, and a little more to put it all back together. Wound up leaving the bags on all the time. Certainly wasn't disappointed with leaving them on.

I have a set of hard bags on Ghost Brackets that I use for long trips on my Night Train. Here are a few pics. I had to relocate the rear turn signals to the license plate/taillight mount. I also made a brace that goes between the bags, to keep them from swinging in and out, that isn't in the pics. Personally, I don't think they look bad, but I definitely prefer no bags at all.

Cheers!
