data cable for thunder-max
I just installed the thunder-max, new pipes and a high flow air cleaner, now everything is great except I can't link my ecm to my laptop because the end that plugs into my computer is different. Does anyone where I can find an adapter or even a whole new different cable? I'm in Sanford, FL right now and have less than 2 weeks left before I have to go back to Fort Drum, NY and really would like to start riding again ASAP.

RE: data cable for thunder-max
The end on the cable is a serial port connection.
They do make a cable that uses USB connections if you don't have a serial port.
The part number is 372-000 from Zippers but you can get a USB to RS232 adapter from places like Comp USA.

This is the one I got.

It works great with my TMax and it is cheap.

If your short of time CompUSA stocks an adaptor cable that should work.
I believe that you can evencheck the local store stock for it.
Here's the link to it.

Good Luck at Ft. Drum, I "visit" there every so often to fix the computers systems in the Guthrie Medical Clinic andit gets COLD up there this time of year. Thedeer can also be a real pain in the butt. So be very careful to keep an eye out for them if your riding or driving anything smaller than an armor plated Hummer.
