Looking for a new seat for my '06 FXSTI, suggestions?
Thinking about the HD badlander. Anyone out there able to share their experience, good or bad, about that seat? Want something slick looking but still affords my wife's bum some comfort. Looking at the Badlander because it looks good but not to expensive. Any other brand recommendations welcome.
Thanks,
Vinny

I had the same problem when I bought my bike. My wife refused to go if I kept the stock seat. I bought the seat that comes with the stock 07 Custom. It is very easy to take on and off (1 piece including the back rest), just 4 bolts. 2 minutes and I have my solo seat on.The wife loves it.

I have an 08 with the badlander and yes it looks great. For a pillon however it is horrible. The Standard seat is much better for a pillon rider and is what my brother-n-law has.
On my badlander I think eventually I will have a local guy cut some out of the back of my seat as it doesn't let me sit back far enough but it is a comfortable seat otherwise...

I'm a fan of Mustang seats. There are many that you can choose from to make a one or two up riding experience not about back aches.

LePera seats make some quality products might want to check them out? The only advice I really recommend is no matter who you go with just be sure to get the Gel inserts and in your case for both you and your passenger. If you lived in a warmer climate I would only recommend the air gel since the other gel tends to soak up heat and that's not comfortable in the warmer climates.

Had a Badlander that came stock on my Night Train... I call it the "torture device". I could only tolerate about 2 hours MAX on it, before my *** and back were killing me. And I wouldn't wish for my worst enemy to be a passenger on that thing! There's virtually no pillion there... may as well be riding the fender!
Cheers!
