Default good aluminum polish

I was wondering. I have a 2008 night train with the solid aluminum back wheel. I rode it in the salt water in NW Indiana a couple of weeks ago and know the wheel looks real nasty. What's the best polish to get that showroom shine back in them? It looks like the salt ate them already.

Any kind of aluminum polish will work well (maquires, mothers, ect.) if you can start out with a jewlers rouge type of polish to get all the gunk off first. Another think I would suggest is to get the maquires power ball and a chordless drill for ease of polishing. Be carefull though, it can get a little messy if you use to much polish or to much speed on the drill, but youll be happy your not doing it by hand.

I haven't had to clean up after salt water, but I keep a tub of Mother's on the shelf as an all purpose metal polish and it works well.

I used the flitz on a mothers ball when I had my standard with the polished rear wheel. It would make it look as good as chrome and would last a long time in between polishing.
