Im thinking my next mod before my wheels is going to be a new console since i hate the rough "channels" in the stock one. Im trying to decide between the Harley Chrome Low Profile console p/n: 71208-07 or the Harley Chrome console kit p/n: 71202-03. They both look really good and are a big improvment over stock. Theres only about an 80 dollar difference in price, so its not a big issue, i just dont know which one to go with. Opinions please. Keep in mind i have the flushmount fuel gauge and cap, so theres nothing sticking up next to it. Ive seen the regular chrome console on a few bikes here, but dont see the low profile one. If you have it, post a pic. Thanks

 

I have the HD Chrome Low Profile one sitting in a box. It was delivered without the rubber seal to go between the console and tank. Once this turns up, on it goes and I will post pics.

I went with this one because I have the High 5 Kuryakyn air filter and the billet cover will match really well I think. I also have the flushmount guage and filler cap.

I have the 71202 and It looks much better to me than stock.. Although I am sending it out to have it done in black chrome... But I like the way it fits the lower part of the tank... Not as wide

yea, that 71202 really looks good. Not a blocky as the stock one. It actually has flowing lines...It goes pretty well with your flushmount caps too.

I have the 71202 as well. Really like the look. No problems with seat fitment too. Yea the flush mount guage would top it off just right.

Looks real good, i'll probally go with that one. I'd still like to see one of the low profile ones installed though.

 

why not put an insert on the console i got a leather one and it made a difference, as i have a leather panel to the tank.

 

The low profile looks real good if you have alot of chrome on the front end.. I though it to be too much on the Train.. Even after I have it done in Black Chrome.. I'll post a pic when I get it back in Black..
