Default Looking at a Softail tomorrow - need advice - first purchase

Good Evening, Tomorrow morning I am taking a trip to check out a bike (2002 FXST) from a used Harley dealer. I am looking to make my first motorcycle purchase and was wondering if I could get a few pointers. I do have experience riding, have been riding my parents bikes for about 5 years (gold wing & sporster). Graduated school, got a job, now looking to buy a toy. [ul][*]Anything that I should know about this style of softail?[*]Anything specific that I should be looking for on the bike before buying?[*]What are your thoughts about this bike & price? [/ul]I though this would be the best place to ask for tips or comments, they would be very helpful. I’ve been reading a lot online about the softails but have never road one and don’t know a lot about them. I think this might be a good deal, this will be a big purchase for me so I really want to make sure I make the right decision before I pull the trigger.

Thanks Guys! [ul][*]2002 FXST – $9,000[*]12K miles[*]Lowering Kit[*]Vance & Hines Exhaust[*]Dyno-Jet kit[*]Drag Bars[*]Custom seat[*]Custom paint[*]Hypercharger Air Cleaner[/ul]

Check it out good but it looks like a good deal. Someone has spent quite a few dollars on this bike.

If that's the bike and all checks out mechanically, my advice is: bring money! That's a good deal.

I always think that prices on used Harleys are too high so I can't help with advice there, but that is a pretty cool looking bike for a first ride.

Got an '04 like it, great bike. If it has been taken care of like the picture suggests, it is a great deal. Wallacem in Ga

Looks like a great bike. It'll be a lot different than the Goldwing & Sportster.
