Default took off seat.

I have a 2003 Fatboy. I took off the Badlander seat and put a single seat on it. I know have a hole with a c-clip and a threaded peice in the middle of the rear fender (this is where the badlander and passenger seat screwed into) does any one know does Harley sell some thing to put in that hole or that screws in it so it does not look so bad.

You can pick up a little black plastic plug with the HD logo scribed into it at the dealer. It was a couple of bucks. Some pick up chrome buttons from the local hardware store.

I did the same thing with my 2002 FatBoy and my husband just went to HD and bought a chrome ? (I don't know the technical names for all those parts) that looks much better. I had a plastic coating under the passenger seat that I really had to work to get off with a hair dryer and some WD40, but I like the look of the bike much better now with just a solo seat and my husband and daughter both ride so I would never have a passenger. Do you have a picture of your bike? I need to update mine now that I have taken the seats off and moved the turn signals off the handlebars (husband did that, very little costs, and looks much better!) and added a few pieces of chrome.

Thanks for the info. Im going to try to post a picture soon. The wife will have to give me a hand with that. I think the bike looks much better with the solo seat. It seams lower to the ground. I will run up to St.Paul Harley today. Thanks again..

My seat is held on at the rear with a chrome decorative hand screw. Makes changing seats a snap which i do often. It would look just fine in there by itself if I were to go with a solo. It's a Harley part so you can go look it up. It's pretty cheap too.

Home Depot has the "chrome buttons" in a lot of different sizes in the specialty hardware section.

Where did you get the black spike, I was thinking I'd like something like that for my train.
