Default Tach Mount Bracket 2008 Fatboy

I am searching for Harley part or after market to mount a Tach on 2008 FB.
one picture is what is available, but as you can see the bolt pattern is different then thatis on my 2008 FB. local harley shop says no mounts are available with the newer bolt pattern yet, but it has been this way since 2007. I can't believe only option is to go with speedo/tach combo... I just want to mount the tach.

Good luck. I finally went with the Combo, just installed it.

Gotta say, it looks awesome, as the brushed alu goes great with all the chrome etc up there.

......

I did look at a couple aftermarket ones but they all seemed to be a nightmare install. I made one call and the guy said, yeah, '07 fatty, no problem, well, if you have a problem just call us.

hmmmm, wasn't too happy about that answer. Anyhow, I know what you mean though, they're expensive as hell. But at least Zannotti's do 20%. That makes you feel a little less screwed.

I have been thinking about the same thing. My dealer said the Fatboy 05/06 SE setup will work I am not sure if you would have to change out risers or not. I hope he is correct.

I have a 2005 SE Fat Boy. This is what the tach looks like on it.

Just worked that out, it's a little more than 20%. But that's what I got. You may wanna call.

These guys are good; and real helpful.

I looked for a handlebar mount tach for my bike and was told HD didn't have one. The dealer said it takes a while for HD to come up with these things. Only thing available is the speedo/tach combination or rigging up an aftermarket tach. I didn't like the aftermarket tach I found and didn't want swap out my old speedo. Still waiting on something for the handlebars, but may go with the combo this spring. Has anyone bought the one with the multicolored lighting? If so, I'd like to hear what you think of it.

tgbroom,

The dealer said it would fit but it would not be the first time a dealer sold me something that was incorrect. I argued with a guy at another dealership over the fitting of flush gas cap/gauge sure enough I was right he was wrong and then he wanted a 20% re-stocking fee. My bike is an 08 I think this is something that I am going to let the dealer install so if it will not fit it is his problem. I am going to put bars, risers, clamps and tach from the 05/06 SE set-up on my 08 fatboy.
