Default 1995 Fatboy - What's it worth??

A newbie here to HD Forum - Awesome site!

I am looking at a 1995 Fatboy (pictured) stock with stage 1. 15,391 miles, does not leak any oil and is in great condition for a 95. I offered $9,200 for it - and they accepted. Do you think this is a good price?

I LOVE the Fatboy - just wondering if I should hold out on a newer model... I don't mind the fact that it's an EVO. Harleys are awesome any way you look at it, right?!

Also, any experience with a Fatboy of this year, pros or cons?

Thanks,

Kevin

HDs are worth what you want them to be, they are usuallybought because you want it not because you need it. So the bottom line is if you think you got a good deal go for it.

Now, if you go to the NADA site they say a 95 is only worth $ 5000 -$ 6,500, so again you have to make the deal and be happy.

I agree with XARAN, if you are happy with the price, it is worth it. NADA also has a note that the price can vary by up to 30% based on accessories and / or market conditions. I bought a 94 fatboy for 9500 about 2 years ago and have never regretted it. EVO's are really strong. Good luck.

I bought my 2000 fatboy for $11K from a dealer last year.
I added some chrome, the stainless spokes and wide whites.
$9500 for a '95 may be a bit high...but once you get it,
all will be OK.
One thing I hate about buying from a dealer, you never
know what has been done to the bike by the previous owner.
Mine was well taken care of........but I wonder just WHAT was done...?

Chuck

For that huge price difference, you get get a nice paint job on it and still be way ahead of the price for the other one.
