Default Q: 2007 FXSTC Chrome Slider Dust Covers

Has anyonere-used thestock 2007 FXSTC chrome dust coverswhen installing Chrome Lower Fork Sliders (HD#48660-07)?

Partsguy at dealer says should fit, but a month ago someone posted specifically that they did not fit for him. (I replied to find out whatthe final resolution was, but never heard back.)

I don't want to force-fit if someone already knows.

Thanks in advance, as always! -stef
