Aftermarket seat for '05 Springer Classic help
Hello,
I've done a pretty good search on the web for an aftermarket seat to replace the stock seat on my '05 Springer Classic and not finding much. I'd like a seat that has a slimmer profile, but not one that shows exposed springs as in the 50's era designs. Will I need to contact a custom seat shop? Or, does anyone know who may carry some options for Springer Classic replacement seats.
Many thanks,
Jerry

RE: Aftermarket seat for '05 Springer Classic help
bgismo20 - I'm just toying with the idea of replacing it with a more contoured, lower profile seat. I agree it is comfortable but I've seem some very good looking leather seats on other bikes. I'd like something like the seat in the upper left corner of the C&C Seats site but in black and without the flame stitching. What I'm looking for may not be out there w/o going with a custom job but will continue to look.
btw, I'm 5'11 w/about same inseam and finding that having my feet on the footboards for long periods of time gets uncomfortable. I've recently installed some Kuryakyn crusing pegs so I can stretch out a bit... Have you done anything similar to relax your riding position?
Thanks,
Jerry

RE: Aftermarket seat for '05 Springer Classic help
I have the nostalgic engine guards & hwy pegs mounted on them, i had a similar problem like you did but now its great! If i were to get a new seat id get a spring seat but currently I dont see the need, when it comes to a seat im a firm believer in if it aint broke dont fix it, ive noticed that most of the time the seast that "look the best" feel the worst
