Fatboy solo seat question

Fatboy solo seat question
I’ve been on the forum reading up on solo seats, it seamsthat there was a fender change on the 06 models.
This change wasthat on the entire softail line or just certain bikes of the line.
Long story short, I have a '06 Fatboy, will I need to find a seat that is '06 specific?
Thanks for the help, spider

RE: Fatboy solo seat question
I have and 06 fatboy. if you look on moco's website and look at seats it will show you 06 seats for fatboys are the same from 2000-2006 except for the fatboy SE.the SEis a fatboy screaming eagle model which has a wider rear tire. therefore it would depend if you have a flstf, flstfi, or flstfise 2006.

RE: Fatboy solo seat question
tlb is correct.
it is "pre-2000", 2000 to 2006, then 2007 and beyond with respect to Fatboys.
The 2006 FLSTFSE fits into the 2007 and beyond group as it was the first with the 200 mm rear tire, swingarm, and wide fender.
However, others within the softail family did or did not change starting in 2006 or 07 as the case may be.
Starting in 06' they came out with a 200 mm rear on the FXST wide glide series as well, I believe. That bike, or bike series continues to this day with the 200 mm rear, and thus, a different fender and seat combo.
If you were to look at the Heritage, Deluxe, Springer Softail, and some of the other full fender or FL series softails you will see the rear did not change and the seat is the same from 2000 on. I would suspect any of these would fit your bike. The key is, is it a y2k or newer and does it have the 130/140/150 rear? If so, the seat should fit your bike.
