Default Heritage Ape Hanger's Question...

I have a '03 Heritage, and I am wanting to throw on the new 14" Wild 1 Ape's. I have no idea what all I need to do, in order to make this happen. I know I am going to need new throttle, idle, clutch, & brake cables... anything else? I would imagine that since the stock bars are 8.5"... I would need to get +6" cables, if I am going with a 14" setup, correct? Am I missing anything else I am going to need? Thanks in advance!

+10 on mine, youll want to get the poly riser bushings to replace the soft rubber ones, and youll have to extend the wiring on all the handlebar controls..

I already have poly bushings installed. I just need to know the exact cable lengths to order, and what is the best way to go about extending the wiring? I am a helicopter electrician / Avionics mech, so wiring is no big deal... I just need to know if I need to splice into the OEM harness, or is there an extension kit on the market to make it easier?

For the wiring I just spliced into it behind the headlight. Just cut the wires, add your extra length than solder and shrink tube all the connections. It's really no big deal

they sell kits on ebay & the like, but I just brought home the colors i needed from work....I had 12 or 14 wires total. You need to extend the wires by cuttin them and adding lenght to them. Just remember to stagger the cuts so you can pull them through the bars ( for interneral wiring ) solder and heat shrink.. as for lenght of cable Id try these guys http://www.phatperformanceparts.com/...ode=BBT%2DIDLE

Sorry someone else will have to help you on lenght... try these guys, they gave me ALL the answers when I did mine
