Default Turn Signal Relocation Kit FLSTF?

I'm thinking about getting rid of my Deluxe Aux kit and goign back to the stock Fatboy front end look. I hate the way the turn signals look stock attached to the bars. Are there any relocation kits that move the signals down to the forks or off the bars? I'd lke to get rid of the signals all together

There's a forum member here by the name of "Anubisss" who has that look (no lamp bar but fork
mounted turn singles) and his bike looks awesome that way. He's a real cool dude so just drop him
a PM and I know he will get you in the right direction.

Do a search for the thread... about 3 weeks ago in this area.

I am doing the same thing. The garage way is a 5/16 x 24 bolt/allthread, cut to right length, with two chrome thin washers. Thread it into teardrop turnsignal, lock with nut. Spin on other nut and thread into front end until it bottoms, then lock down with 2nd nut. Use locktite. You will have to measure all and trial fit several times.

Lift tank or remove, pull out wiring for signals when you take them off handlebars. Once reinstalled, re-run wire and plug bag into loom.

OR... check out the bagger cover bike on the Drag Specialties 08' catalog. The bronze/copper colored one. it has a billet signal mount that looks real nice and should fit. Havent found it yet so don't know part number.

J&P Cycles sells some bolts that are 5/16x24 on one end and 3/8 on the other. You just cut the 5/16 end to the length you want and there is a nut in he middle for tightening it up. They are long enough for detachable windshield, and chrome.

I like the Kuryakin ones. Are they a lot smaller than the stockies?

Guys,

I had the same dilema recently, didnt know what to do either, but after sitting down and having a look at where everything goes I soon figured it out.

Dont make it so hard, justcut the heads of a couple of 2 inch long5/16 bolts (the same size as your turn signals and relocate them using the holes that hold on the upper fork tins. Which coincidently are the same size as the ones in your turn signals.Use the nutsfrom the original fork mounts to space between the fork tin and the turn signal (you may need 2 on each side to allow space to get a spanner inbetween the tins and turnsignals). (10 mins )

The trickiest part is cutting and rejoining the wires. (5 mins)

It is not rocket science.

The best part of modifying your bike is working stuff out and doing it yourself.

All the best
