to prevent scratches? i bought a new rear fender as my 2 up seat scratched the hell outta my rear fender..................its a PITA having to change fenders when i switch seats

what can i put on my fender to keep it from getting scratched? i took the plastic on it off............

 

go to alocal body shop and get some clear rock gard like what they put on the bottom of fenders behind the tires. it is just a piece of thin plastic that is sticky on one side and it should take care of your problame.

 

I have this problem as well. My stock passenger pillion leaves fine scratches on the clear coat. I am the only one that notices them, but I don't want it to worsen. Also, I ride solo 90% of the time, so is the rock guard stuff something I can put on when riding 2up and peel off afterwards without damaging the paint?

 

glue a thin microfiber cloth to the underside of the passenger portion of your 2-up seat.

 

Look up profinish on the forms here. He's made a 3M type plastic film to go over the rear fenders. He's in the touring section and sounds like he needs the business. If you need anything special, I'm sure he will accommodated you. Shouldn't cost too much. Check him out.
