Default Rust.........

With about 4" of rain a few days ago, I noticed something about my bike on yesterday's ride. I had a "bit" of water leak into my garage during the downpour. I "only" had about 1" get into the garage! The pipes had a bit of rust in the ends of them around the baffles. The bike is almost new and the pipes are V&H SSS. I was quite surprised and just a bit bummed. I took it out for a nice 75 mile ride on Sunday with temps. at about 50. There's no water in the system either. Just a whole bunch of humidity from a days worth of drying out the garage. Hopefully, I'll be able to ride it again soon and get the soot to coat it over. Bummer.

Default RE: Rust.........

I run a dehumidifier in my garage. It keeps the dew off the bikes which keeps the rust away.
