Default chopping and repainting!

Soiam finally gettin rid of this pearl white. I took off all my tins this weekend and started stripping them down to the metal. I am chopping the rear fender where the brake light is and putting a exile plate and light mount on the side. So my question is, do we have any painters out there that can give me a few tips, my buddy that is going to paint my stuff has been painting for years but i still would like to go in there with a lil knowledge.( Iam going to a flat white)Also i was wondering if anyone knew where to get some goodpaint for a good price out here in the Los Angeles area. Thanks for the help
