Default v&h pipes

Question for you fellas 07/08bikes. I am going to buy a set of v&h pipes, powercommander from fuel moto. I will probably install these myself. Do you bypass the O2 senors with the p.c? if so what do you put in the holes in the exhaust? do you just tie up the senor wires somewhere out of sight? oyeah I know fuelmoto doesnt sell v&h. pipes they are comin from elsewhere.

I just did this project on my fatboy last weekend.... even got the PCIII from FuelMoto. But I installed Hooker Pipes instead of V&H.

When you install the Power Commander, it should include O2 eliminators with instructions on how to install them. The O2 sensor wiresthat you see externally on the bikeare acutally just leads (about 10" long) that attach tocables that are hidden within the frame. You will remove the lead from thecableand plug the O2 eliminator onto the hidden cable instead. This part is pretty easy for both wires.

The tricky part is negotiating all of the new cables of the PC into the battery compartment.... Be patient. It will work. It also seemed that there was no obvious place to fasten the PC module to (above the alarm). Since there isn't a lot of room to work under the fender, this can be tedious as well.

As far as the plugs for the O2 sensors.... my pipes came with SS plugs for this purpose. If your pipes don't come with plugs, I would ask the vendor to include them. Even if you have to pay extra, they are prettycheap. Otherwise Ithink you can go to a muffler shop and buy them.I don't remember the size, but I'm pretty sure that these are metric.

Good luck with the job.

Btw, what bike are these going on?

Thanks stinkfist! the bike is a 07 deluxe. I bet the setup is identical to a fatboy.
