Default HELP WITH ROTOR BOLTS

Yesterday I put my new front wheel on and when I switched the rotor from the old wheel to the new one, the bolts seemed like they bottomed out before they were tight. I muscled them enough to make the rotor tight to the hub but it didn't seem right. Could the bolts for a solid fatboy wheel be different that those for a spoke wheel? Any help would be appreciated.

I believe U are supose to change the bolts when you take off. I changed discs on my bike and used new bolts.
Heard that the old ones can stretch.
I would be checking as not some thing U want to come loose on ya.

It could very well be that the fatboy disc bolts are slightly longer than the spoked bolts. Call a HD parts dealer and ask them to cross reference the bolts between a solid wheel and a wheel of a Heritage (if that's in fact the wheels you have)

You might be able to run a "bottom"tap down the holes and gain some thread depth.

The H-D manual specifically states to replace the bolts with new when replacing the rotors. New H-D bolts come with the loctite on them, wouldn't want them puppies backing out on you when your cruising down the hwy.
