The H-D accessories aren't made by H-D in the first place. I never have been impressed with the quality, not to mention the bloated price. I have never bought a bad Kury accessory; better quality and a much better price.

Kury makes some unique pieces, but their quality isn't anywhere as consistant as HD.
I would guess their quality is dependant on which outsource company makes what for them....
I used to have their Ellipse mirrors.
Junk..
I went through three pitted stems before my dealer finally took them back.

I agree with GoergeC some stuff are good and some are just cheap like the stiletto brake pedal
it sucks broke while i was putting it on peice of junk but kury prices are pretty cheap compared
to others... You get what you pay for, right?

Quality is about the same as far as I can tell. But you need to get prices on a part to part basis. I have seen some things where Harley dealer had the better price.
Alot of the dress up stuff is made overseas anyway, even Harley's Stuff. Also know that "LIVE TO RIDE" is trademark protected by Harley. Congrats on new bike and enjoy.

I've never had a problem with Kury's parts...they make some pretty unique items andadd new designs each year.

Good luck.

I have a mix of all diferent brands of chrome.

HD chrome: great quality, too expensive.

Kuryakyn: Great chrome, much more reasonably priced.

Custom Chrome: Cheap, and youGET what you pay for.

Drag Specialties:The jury is undecided on this brand....somegreat chromeand somebad chrome as well. Prices are very reasonable.

I think that much of the time they both contract with the same vendor and then have the vendor put the same product in their packaging. My wife bought me the HD fork brace for my wide glide front end, and it is the same identical piece as its Kuryuakyn's.
The good thing about Kuryakyn though which I think that no one has mentioned is that if a piece of Kuryakyns stuff goes to ****, they will replace it for free of charge. Take it to them at a rally, and they will give the piece for free. Try that with HD and see what they do.
Kuryakyn are a great bunch of Stand UP people in my book. I love their products. First rate.
